Courtmacsherry Hotel is an exquisite 3 Star Victorian mansion, ideal for breaks away in beautiful West Cork and is a highlight of the Wild Atlantic Way. The hotel has a total of 10 rooms available. The rooms have been designed to add to the Victorian theme that is evident throughout every part of this unique hotel. All of these rooms are ensuite with all of the basic commodities. All of the front rooms have a panoramic view of Courtmacsherry Bay, which is literally a stone’s throw away.
Courtmacsherry Hotel also has an award-winning restaurant & pub, The Cork Tree Restaurant, that has a sensational view overlooking the bay – an ideal setting to unwind. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner full of locally sourced delights including signature dishes such as the 16oz T-Bone streak, Billy’s Beer Battered Fresh Haddock & Chips and the Thai Chicken Curry.
In an effort to ensure that visitors can taste Courtmacsherry when they visit, the team have begun a Covid-project called The Tunnel – ‘Don’t stop Be -Leafin’
The tunnel was a therapeutic outlet throughout the lockdown. As the saying goes, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade……. when life throws you a pandemic, grow your own food. The team have an array of food growing in the tunnel. From radishes, edible flowers, tomatoes, peppers, chillies, courgette, rocket, mizuna and a mixture of herbs to name but a few.
Pre-paring for Re-opening
In Preparation for reopening on 29th June, the Courtmacsherry Hotel Team have created a set of measures to maintain the safety of their guests and their team.
Courtmacsherry Hotel have created a cleaning routine which ensures that all bedrooms are freshly sanitised for each new guest. All touch points throughout the Hotel have been identified and these will be sanitised regularly throughout the day.
Hand Sanitisers have been installed at all entry points and throughout the public areas. These are in place for the convenience and safety of guests.
Staff awareness and training
All members of the team are focused on making the hotel a risk-free environment. Screened reception desk and the use of PPE for your protection. All Staff are trained in the Failte Ireland approved Covid19 safety stamp programme and we are receiving regular updates from the HSE for the best procedures.
The team have also made changes throughout the hotel to ensure social distancing is maintained for the safety of our visitors and staff. All tables on the front lawn are 3 metres apart and inside the hotel the tables are 2 metres apart.
