Courtmacsherry Hotel has been part of village life for generations. We’re a family-run hotel by the sea, in a small West Cork village on the Wild Atlantic Way, where people still say hello and nobody is in too much of a hurry.
Some days here are quiet — a walk by the sea, a coffee or a drink and nowhere you particularly need to be. Other days bring music, celebrations, familiar faces and a hotel full of life.

Our bedrooms are comfortable, individual and full of the character you’d expect from a 200-year-old hotel. Or, if you’d like a little more space and independence, our self-catering Coastal Cottages are just a short stroll from the Hotel.Â

Looking for somewhere with a little character? Our bedrooms are part of a historic 200-year-old hotel, so no two are quite the same. Some have beautiful sea views, others have their own individual charm, and all put you right in the heart of Courtmacsherry. For a little more independence, our self-catering Coastal Cottages are just next door.

There’s plenty to do around Courtmacsherry. Walk the Seven Heads, head out fishing, take to the water or simply explore the village and coastline. You might even spot dolphins or whales along the way. With woodland walks, beaches and the Wild Atlantic Way all around us, there’s always somewhere to go and something to discover.
Courtmacsherry is well known for its fishing, with trips available for both experienced anglers and complete beginners. Head out along the West Cork coast and enjoy a few hours on the water with experienced local skippers.
Step outside and you’re surrounded by some lovely walks. Explore sections of the Seven Heads Walk, wander through Courtmacsherry Woods or simply follow the coastline and enjoy the views along the way.
The waters around Courtmacsherry are home to an incredible variety of marine life. Head out on a local wildlife trip for the chance to see dolphins, whales, seals and seabirds along the beautiful Seven Heads coastline.
